24th annual Hispanic Women of Distinction Charity Luncheon,
August 29, 2025, 11AM - 2PM at the Pier 66, Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Presented by Latina Style Magazine, the nation's leader in Hispanic women business in partnership with Nicklaus Children's Health System, the region's only specialty licensed healthcare system exclusively for children whose mission is to create a healthy future for every child, as well as major media partner Latin Business Today.
The 2025 charity luncheon will be hosted at the newly renovated Pier 66 Hotel on Southeast 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Tickets for the luncheon are $110 per person and sponsorships available beginning at $1500. "We are so delighted to host this year's celebration at the beautiful, Pier 66 in their ballroom. Guests will be amazed at the elegance and services they offer," said Elaine Miceli-Vasquez, producer.
Latin Business Today, a longtime media co-sponsor publishes online content on law, business, marketing, innovation, as well as content on Latino culture and features stories on each of the year's honorees. In addition, more than 30 corporate and media partners celebrate the leadership, vision and achievements of the annual honorees selected.
This year, the charity selected is FLITE Center, with the mission to guide those aging out of foster care, and other vulnerable youth, on a successful journey to independence through education, employment, housing, health and wellness, resource navigation and system of care coordination. Their vision is that no youth travels the road to adulthood alone. A fantastic silent auction and raffles at the luncheon will benefit the FLITE Center's services.
Founded by the late Erwin M. Vasquez, M.D., a Venezuelan-born cardiologist and publisher of the pioneer newspaper, EL Heraldo de Broward, and founder of the only free healthcare facility in Broward County since 1988, the Light of the World Clinic, his goal was to encourage many others to follow the dreams and success of Latinas who have paved the way for others to follow. The accomplishments of the honorees stand on their own are even more significant given the traditional roadblocks that exist for women, especially Latinas.
The Hispanic Women of Distinction luncheon will feature a complimentary cocktail from Tito's Vodka, an exciting silent auction and business expo, as well as a fantastic luncheon, Latin entertainment and a gift for each attendee.

Founded in 2001 by the late Erwin M. Vasquez, M.D., a Venezuelan-born cardiologist, philanthropist, and publisher of the pioneer Spanish newspaper, "El Heraldo de Broward," as well as founder of the "Light of the World Clinic," their goals were to help to empower Latinas and to recognize the influence they have in the South Florida community.
Proud of his heritage, Dr. Erwin M. Vasquez encouraged his wife Elaine to add a special event during "Hispanic Heritage Month," along with the "¡Viva Broward!" weekend festival, in order to highlight the contributions of Hispanic-American women in the community.
What began as a small event of 200 guests, has grown to become one of the country's largest celebrations of Latinas, selling out each year!
